Your documents, highlights, notes, and reading activity never leave your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking — by design. The only outside service involved is the one that hosts the site, described below.
Let's keep this simple. I build software based on a single principle: your data is yours. Period.
PageTurn, like every app in the VextoApps family, is designed from the ground up to be private-by-default. I believe you shouldn't have to trade your personal information for useful tools. This policy isn't about what I do with your data; it's about how I've built PageTurn so that I can't collect it in the first place.
It's a short list:
Everything you do in PageTurn happens directly on your device — your phone, your tablet, your computer. All of your data — your documents, highlights, notes, bookmarks, and settings — is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB.
Think of it like a digital bookshelf in your own home. It's yours. I can't see what's on it, and no one else can either. When you delete the app's data from your browser, it's gone forever.
You have complete control over your data. From the Statistics page in PageTurn, you can:
Download a JSON backup of your library, highlights, notes, bookmarks, collections, reading progress, goals, and settings. The document files themselves aren't included, so keep your originals.
Load a backup file to restore that data on this device or a new one.
Remove any document from your library, along with its highlights, notes, and bookmarks. To erase everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Railway never receives your documents or anything you create in the app.
PageTurn's web pages and fonts are served from Railway, so loading the site never contacts Google or any other font service. Like most hosting providers, Railway may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and request times. See Railway's Privacy Policy.
If you choose to submit feedback or a bug report through the provided links (which go to a Tally.so form), that interaction is governed by Tally's privacy policy. The information you submit is used solely to improve the app and is not connected to any in-app data.
As PageTurn evolves, I may need to update this policy. If I do, the changes will be posted here, and they will always remain true to the core philosophy: your data is yours.
